About St Heliers Community Library
”Welcome to St Heliers Community Library! Our Facebook page will keep you up to date on events and programmes happening at the St Heliers Library, as well as posts on news and other information that we think you may like. Opened in 1931, the historic St Heliers Community Library is located in the heart of St Heliers Bay Village and is a minute's walk from lovely St Heliers Bay.
UPDATE:
The library is currently closed as we move back to the original library building at 32 St Heliers Bay Road. We re-open at 10am on Tuesday 15 August. See you then!

Our collection includes a great range of adult fiction and non-fiction books, large print and audio books, magazines, DVDs, and a Teen collection. We also have Chinese and Spanish collections.
Our children’s area has board books, picture books, easy-readers, junior fiction, audiobooks, children’s DVDs and music CDs, and non-fiction books.
We hold Storytime in the library on Mondays at 10am.
Wriggle & Rhyme is held on Wednesday and Fridays at 9.30am and 11am at the St Heliers Community Centre (100 St Heliers Bay Road).
We offer free internet access with 5 public computers available for library members and visitors, and free Wifi inside the library. Book a librarian if you need help with Auckland Libraries Digital Services and the friendly St Heliers Library staff are always happy to help you with your printing.
Every Saturday from 10am to 12pm we have a Justice of the Peace service at the library. No appointment necessary.
