”The Maungaturoto Country Club is a community social facility, the home of several sports clubs. The Maungaturoto Country Club is the hub of Maungaturoto, offering sporting and recreational opportunities plus an extensive venue for hirage by the public. Ample parking and wheelchair access via the ramp at the back of the building. The Club has various affiliated clubs as part of the organisation, Squash, Rugby, Repertory Theatre, Equestrian, Motorcross, Outdoor Bowls and Otamatea College. Also free activities like a skatepark and a 9 hole (basket) Disc Golf Course in and around our community walkway. Discs available for use (if you dont have your own) every Thursday from the bar from 4.30 pm. The walkway is set within a working farm on 60 ha (140 acres) that is open to the public (closed during lambing season), dogs need to be on a lead at ALL times and please leave the gates the way you find them to keep animals safe. The Club is open for meals and drinks (including a licenced bar)on Thursday and Friday evenings from 5.30 and at other times by arrangement. The large function lounge is available for club functions and private events - birthdays, weddings, conferences and other celebrations. A special licence may need to be applied for through KDC, conditions apply. A member of Clubs New Zealand, the Club is a community asset which enjoys an ongoing commitment by local people who generously donate their time, money, services and goods to ensure it meets the changing needs of its members and visitors. New members are always welcome, please come to the club on a Thursday or Friday evening and you can meet other members, memberships are only $25.00 annually per adult and membership forms are available in the dining room.
